It’s been said many times, but is repetively true. Writing is lonely. It’s grindingly solitary whether it’s you and the dog, or the building is humming with humanity and Maggie Rogers crooning out the speakers. To write, you must enter a subterranean nature of your creation where it’s you, the page, and your words.
